Katajanokanluoto
Katajanokanluoto is located in Kruunuvuorenselkä, only less than a 10-minute boat ride from Market Square. Katajanokanluoto is the smallest recreational and restaurant island in Helsinki open to the public. During the summer season, there is a regular boat connection to the island from the Market Square.
The island restaurant is famous for their high-quality pizzas. The menu was designed by chef Arto Rastas and pizzas are baked in original Italian pizza ovens. In addition, the island café offers a wide range of hot and cold drinks, as well as savoury and sweet delicacies.
The island is also an eco-island in the true sense of the word and completely self-sufficient with composting toilets, solar energy and fresh water produced from the seawater.
Katajanokanluoto is open until 9.8.2020.
