The coolest place in the city to swim and do the sauna is at an outdoor sea pool Allas. Allas Sea Pool is located straight next to Market Square. At Allas you’ll find saunas, swimming pools, lounge, terraces, restaurant and a roodtop garden. Allas has two different pools, one with heated fresh water and one with cold sea water. Helsinki has three market halls. Two of them, Old Market Hall and Hakaniemi Market Hall keep their doors open also on Christmas Eve. The Old Market Hall locates next to Market Square. It has served customers since 1889. Merchants sell there everything from cheese, fish, shellfish, vegetable, fruit, cakes, spice to what ever you need for tasty holidays! Hakaniemi Market Hall is housed in a historical two-storey building. Shops on the first floor are specialised in food and on the second floor in handicrafts and Finnish design.
