Restaurant Piglets

Situated on the edge of a small marketplace, Piglets is a tiny and relaxed restaurant where tasty food and quality wines are the key elements.

On the menu, you will find casual finger food dishes that are nice to combine and share with friends. The menu includes both smaller portions and main dishes such as mussels and pasta. You can either enjoy a nice dinner or just pop in for a glass of wine.

Focusing on good wines

The wines served at Piglets come from small European producers and are mainly natural wines. “I would describe our wines being characterful with an appreciation for nature and the origins,” says restaurateur Marleena Niveri. The waiters are happy to give expert wine recommendations that are worth listening to if you are not already familiar with all the different wines and tastes. In addition to wines, the drink menu includes beers from small breweries.

Plain beauty

The interior design is by Niveri, and it is a charming combination of simplicity and unpretentiousness. One eye-catching detail is the rough brick wall, which is sure to be seen in several Instagram photos.

It is also possible to reserve a private space for a party or some other occasions, and the space downstairs is quite exciting as it is actually in a former bank vault. The restaurant also has a terrace at Töölöntori.

And finally: restaurateur Niveri, what does the name of the restaurant refer to? At least you’re not a meat-focused restaurant? “We are not a restaurant specialising in meat, although the name does mean little piggies. We just wanted a light, fun and relaxed name for the restaurant, one that doesn’t mix with others and really is memorable”.
