Seurasaari bonfires

First of all, one of the most popular and traditional ways to celebrate Midsummer Eve is Seurasaari Island. Programme includes Finnish folk dance and music, spells, and handicraft displays. Also a traditional midsummer maypole will be raised. Midsummer bonfires are lit in the evening.

Traditional Midsummer celebrations at Kivinokka

Nightless night’s atmosphere at Pihlajasaari Island

A traditional spot to enjoy the nightless night. Bonfire is lit at 21.00. The boats to Pihlajasaari island leave from Merisatamanranta, close to Café Carusel in Kaivopuisto Park. The boat ride takes only about 10 minutes.
