Go and try some great sustainable food when in Helsinki. Organic ingredients, locally sourced produce and seasonal menus are both tasty and healthy!

Restaurant Juuri

This 15-years old restaurant is one of the forerunners in Finnish sustainable food scene. Small producers and organic food are in the heart of their kitchen and menu. Restaurant Juuri has “a rule of four P’s for raw ingredients”: Perfect Produce from Preferred Producers.

Restaurant Natura

Try some modern food in a family-run restaurant. The three tasting menus and à la carte dishes are prepared with local and organic ingredients and produce from small scale producers. The tasting menus include local meat, sustainably caught fish, and vegetables.

Restaurant Silvoplee

Restaurant Silvoplee in Hakaniemi serves the largest buffet selection of vegetarian dishes in Helsinki. Up to 65% of the ingredients they use are organic, most also locally farmed and fair trade. Also available both sweet and savoury treats prepared with their own recipes.

Cargo Goffee + Vegetarian Food

This restaurant & café serves breakfast and vegetarian lunch. The products are made with seasonal ingredients and produce, remember to also taste their fresh and energizing juices. Situated near the southern Länsisatama harbor, this restaurant is easily reached from the center with trams number 9 and 6 heading towards Jätkäsaari.

Fafa’s restaurants are all about fresh ingredients and good taste. Described as authentic gourmet street food, their falafels are famous, and all dishes have an original Middle Eastern vibe. Located around the city, Fafa’s is easy to find. Head e.g. to Mikonkatu, to Kamppi shopping Centre or to Citycenter opposite the Railway Station.
