To do & see in Helsinki
Due to the international coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, public venues, such as museums, libraries, cafés, restaurants and hotels have been closed in Helsinki. Starting from June 1, these venues are opening again. Please note! All events for over 500 persons have been cancelled until July 31. For more information and recommendations, see the Finnish institute of health and welfare.
We recommend checking the opening hours and other information on the websites of operators or organisers responsible. There might be exceptions in services available. Service providers might also give instructions to guests on how to reduce the risk of contamination.
There are plenty of things to do and see in Helsinki. Most major sights can be found within walking distance of the city centre. The city has also excellent public transportation, which will conveniently take you to wherever you want to go. See our listing of attractions and main sights. Also, find out more about entertainment, outdoor activities, and wellness and sport.
Some of the events and places have free entry or discounts with Helsinki Card.
